When inspecting and certifying a roof during the inspection, this is the information noted:
- Know the material, age, and condition of the roof; estimated life remaining on the shingles, determine if and when the roof was updated, are there visible signs of damage, deterioration, leaks
- Is there a secondary roof and it’s known information
- If the roof is in poor condition, it may be required to be upgraded, fixed or replaced before writing your insurance policy
- Photographs of the roof and the Roof Condition Certification form will be documentation.
